Kayaks

We build a variety of kayaks including wooden stitch and glue boats, strip built boats and hybrids that combine several different construction methods to take advantage of the strengths of each.

All boats are constructed of the best materials including certified marine grade mahogany plywoods, western red cedar, northern white cedar, basswood, cherry and ash. All products are composite construction utilizing high quality epoxy resins specially formulated for the marine environment. Being stronger and more water resistant than polyester resins, the epoxy fiberglass mix creates a light and highly durable shell that lets the true beauty of the wood show through.

For the paddler who knows what they want but may not have the time or location to build it themselves, we are happy to build the boat of your dreams, fully outfitted or bare bones and ready for you to customize. We usually work from pre-existing plans. But, if we can’t find something that suits your needs we will work with you to create your own design.
